In this work, Captain Midas takes flight against a blue sky. The character exists in the realm of the image, limited to two dimensions. Yet, in the blue sky, a butterfly emerges into the third dimension. The tiny disturbance caused by the flight of a butterfly could, in theory, trigger significant climate changes across the globe. Every gesture, however small, can have a massive impact on the future. The butterfly effect can be observed all around us, from ocean currents and bird songs to the sensations under our feet when walking barefoot on grass. This work is an ode to freedom—the freedom to play, to dream, and to soar.
