In The Treasure of King Midas, Captain Midas roams the streets to rid them of dangerous debris (broken glass). In this performance, calling upon the participation of passersby, the Captain collected nearly one hundred liters of shattered glass, which was then placed within the body of a giant butterfly-shaped installation at the Maison de la culture Plateau-Mont-Royal. Through this project, my adult concerns (urban ecology) merged with childlike play (costume and role-playing) in a desire for social engagement.
